Reaching out to neighborhood families, our After School Program and Summer Program provide a safe place for school children in our community. The After School Program welcomes children in grades 1-12 and the Summer Program is open to children ages 5 and older. Our primary goal is to encourage high school graduation and continued education for all of our students.
During the school year, volunteers provide homework help, healthy snacks and educational enrichment to children. The program runs Tuesday through Thursday from 3:30-5:50pm.
Summertime offers a fun and educational experience for the children, complete with a nutritious lunch, reading time and field trips!
The program is free for all our families. Parents contribute by providing snacks and helping maintain the After School Program space. These programs are sustained through grants, donations and volunteer efforts. Many of our volunteers come from the local universities, high schools, and church communities.
Since 1992, we have had more than 24 youth who are finishing or have finished college and are out of the poverty cycle in which they lived as children.

Sponsor a Child Today
Your gift will allow a child of central El Paso to attend Cristo Rey’s Summer Program. When you become a sponsor, you are linked with one child who will benefit from your gift by being able to participate in the summer program. Since many neighborhood families are financially challenged, the cost of this program to families is nominal. These programs are sustained through grants, volunteer efforts, and donations from generous partners.
