Doctora San Juana ministers to the poor in Juárez by providing health services to the most vulnerable. In addition to direct treatment of patients, Doctora San Juana educates families about safety and healthy lifestyles. 

 

By November 2013, La Clínica Cristo Rey had treated over 1,500 medical patients and 1,100 dental patients living in makeshift colonias surrounding the city. At the Holy Spirit Medical clinic she serves close to 600 patients every year. 

 

One of the miracles in 2013 was that we were able to provide a humanitarian visa for baby Emily who had two heart surgeries at Providence Hospital, free of charge. 

 

We also continue to treat patients who have been deported from the United States who have no means with which to cover their medical or dental expenses. Some of our patients were separated from their families and feel hopeless and isolated. 

 

This ministry also assists around 90 students in all grade levels (elementary through university) with school scholarships that go towards paying a portion of public school tuition, uniforms and classroom materials. In order to receive these scholarships, students must maintain a 90% average and have no absences.
