School Supplies

Supplies are collected year-round and distributed to neighborhood children, otherwise unable to afford these required items, before classes begin in the fall:

• Backpacks (boys & girls)

• #2 Pencils (1 box of 12 per child)

• Pencil sharpeners with shavings-catcher

• Pink erasers

• Black & Blue erasable pens

• Washable markers

• 24-pack of crayons

• Colored pencils

• Two-pocket folders (without binding)

• Black, hardcover composition books

• 1-subject spiral-bound notebooks

• 3-subject spiral-bound notebooks

• 1 ½” binders (middle & high school)

• 5-subject dividers

• Pointed scissors (child-size)

• Glue sticks

• Calculators with stats functions (high school)

• Compass sets

• Protractors

• 2 boxes of tissue per child

• 1 box of Clorox wipes per child

• Multipocket khaki pants

• Blankets for children under age 5

• Books and videos in Spanish with moral messages, adventures, biographies, and history

• Warm clothes for children age 6-14

• Warm and formal clothes for college students

 

After School Program

Food Items:

• Erithromycin capsules and powder (250 mgs.)

• Macrodantyn tabs (100 mgs.)

• Ciproxina (250 mgs. tabs & 500 mgs. tabs)

• Cephalexine capsules (250 mgs.) and powder

• Thermometers  for oral thermometers

• Two good heavy duty sphingomanometers to   take blood pressure

• Hemoglobin tester to monitor pregnant mothers

• Urinalysis strips

• Pregnancy tests

• Gluco strips (ascencia countour, easy tract,  one touch or any others that could be in date)
